The story behind PALKOFIA
The beginning

Born from Gaza. Built through design.

Built through design, persistence, and a refusal to stand still.
THE IDEA

It started with a simple idea.

I kept seeing people looking for something Palestinian to wear. I also found people searching for a Palestinian store whose profits could return to Palestine. I realized the skills I had learned could not simply remain idle.

THE FIRST DESIGN
The beginning

The first idea.

Before there was a store, there was a design the first step toward turning an idea into something real.

THE FIRST PRODUCT
The first step

An idea became real.

The first product made the idea tangible something people could actually wear and carry beyond Palestine.

THE PLAN
From idea to reality

Then I started drawing the plan.

Turning the idea into reality was going to take time far more than I had anticipated. I faced challenges I never imagined I would encounter; I felt like someone stumbling blindly between walls whenever I leaned on one for support, it would crumble, leaving me facing a new obstacle that demanded a fresh start and boundless determination. All the while, circumstances whispered "impossible, impossible, impossible" in my ear, yet my mind waged a counter-battle, insisting "I can achieve this" until I reached this very moment, where I am sharing this message with you.

THE HARD PART

Building something when nothing was easy.

PALKOFIA was never built under normal circumstances. Even the simplest parts of building a store became challenges of their own.

KEEPING IT ALIVE

Even after injury, displacement, and a laptop damaged by shrapnel, I kept trying to build.

WHAT IT TOOK

There was no stable electricity. No reliable internet. Payment methods were not available for Palestine. And every time we were displaced, continuing the work became harder.

I travelled long distances just to find a connection strong enough to work. Sometimes the internet was barely enough. Sometimes I had to wait for it to return.

I thought about stopping. More than once.

FROM THE ARCHIVE

There were days when simply finding electricity and a stable connection was part of the work.

AND STILL

I kept building.

My family believed in the idea. People who followed the journey encouraged me not to stop. So I kept going.

WHY PALESTINE?

This is not just where PALKOFIA comes from.

Palestine was never something I had to add to the brand. It was already part of my life.

MORE THAN A SYMBOL

Palestine is the place I grew up in, the details I saw every day, and the identity I carry with me.

That is why the keffiyeh, the olive tree, the objects in my room and the visual details around me naturally became part of PALKOFIA.

I do not want PALKOFIA to feel like a message forced onto a product. I want Palestinian identity to live naturally inside the design — something people can wear, enjoy and feel connected to.

THE IDENTITY

Palestine is part of the design because it is part of me.

PALKOFIA carries that identity forward — not as a challenge, but as something beautiful, personal and made to be shared with the world.

FROM IDEA TO SOMETHING REAL

Then the idea started becoming real.

It did not happen all at once. There were small moments that made the idea feel less like a plan and more like a real brand.

  1. THE IDEA
    The first PALKOFIA design
    THE FIRST STEP

    A design became a direction.

I started with an idea, sketches and the belief that my design skills could become something useful.

  2. THE FIRST PRODUCT
    The first PALKOFIA product
    MADE FOR REAL

The first product left the screen.

What had started as a design finally became something people could actually hold, wear and use.

  3. THE FIRST ORDER

    Then someone actually ordered it.

That first order was small, but to me it meant something much bigger: the idea was no longer only mine.

  4. THE STORE

    The store became real too.

Page by page, product by product, PALKOFIA grew from a plan into a store with a place of its own.

ONE THING LED TO ANOTHER

The first order proved that the idea could move. The store gave it somewhere to go.

TODAY

PALKOFIA is here.

What started as an idea became a real source of work, purpose and possibility.

WHAT IT BECAME

A beautiful story that keeps moving.

TODAY, FOR ME

PALKOFIA became more than a store. It became a way to keep building, create an income for my family and turn my skills into something that has a life of its own.

After everything that happened, I learned to look at a problem differently. Instead of asking, “Why is this happening?”, I started asking, “How can I solve it?”

That change in mindset became one of the most important things PALKOFIA gave me.

WHAT I LEARNED

Keep moving. The effort is never wasted.

Persistence does not mean that everything becomes easy. It means you keep looking for the next step, even when the road changes.

07 FROM GAZA TO THE WORLD

THE NEXT CHAPTER

From Gaza to the world.

THE VISION

A Palestinian brand, built with a global ambition.

THE VISION

I want PALKOFIA to become a name people recognize anywhere.

I want people across Europe and the world to wear PALKOFIA. I want Palestinian identity to be known through contemporary design, and I want the brand to grow until it can stand alongside global stores.

Most importantly, I want it to remain a meaningful source of income for my family.

WHAT I WANT YOU TO FEEL

You wear something you love. And it means something more.

Your purchase should feel like a choice you are proud of — something valuable, useful and connected to a story, without needing to be a statement.
